RollaBall!
Three teams each build a section of a three-part runway - when it's brought together a ball has to travel unaided from one end to the other. Great to show how teams need to work together.
How it works
Teams A, B and C need to work together to construct a runway that will allow a ping pong ball to be dropped in at one end and travel to the other end by gravity alone! First, teams have to answer a number of questions to get the building resources they need. Then each team builds its own segment with only limited communication with each other to determine the interfaces are at the right height and width. Finally teams come together to test their construction.
What it does
RollaBall! is a highly dynamic and practical activity that energises any course. When the teams meet at the end there is high tension – and then euphoria when the ball completes its course! Demonstrates that open communication and trust is the key to project teams working well with each other.
