Winning Strategies
A company that manufactures inflatable boats is in financial difficulties. As consultants, it's your task to come up with one of five different strategies to turn things round - but will your client like what you have to say? And how persuasive can you be?

How it works
Groups study details of a company: the profit and loss, balance sheet, company background etc. The first task is to judge the company’s strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Then teams study five possible future strategies - and choose just ONE. Teams can then give a presentation of the company’s future (if there is one).
What it does
Allows teams the opportunity to practise their analytical and management skills in a risk-free environment. Can they analyse the trends and figures in the business? Will they take a positive or negative view of future prospects? Can they identify where the company might diversify to increase its presence in the market?
Customer feedback
'Winning Strategies' is an excellent activity for getting to grips with the basics of strategy.
