All Trainers know how important it is to get training sessions off to a good start. Not surprisingly, participants may be nervous and inhibited at the start of a course or any training session. They are unsure of what lies ahead and they don't know anyone else on the course! That's where short, sharp, friendly icebreakers are invaluable.

This single pack contains 30, very varied activities - all designed to relax groups, get individuals mixing freely and melt some of their inhibitions. As well they’ll boost energy levels and stimulate interest and motivation – and form a strong base on which to build the rest of your training programme.

Of course, you don’t only have to use them at the start! They work equally well as 'dividers' within a programme, or to refocus after a refreshment break, or before you knuckle down to the ‘main substance’ of the afternoon. As well they make a very good way to end the day - especially if you finish earlier than expected. This pack provides perfect, ready-to-use stop gaps.

Here's what these icebreakers will do for you:

  • Get delegates mixing, chatting and having fun
  • Create a relaxed, non-threatening, fun atmosphere
  • Make it easy to form teams, reduce inhibitions and encourage self expression
  • Provide an opportunity to put some general teamwork skills into practice
  • Introduce specific issues such as problem-solving skills, attention to, detail, creativity, organisation – and many more.
