Teamwork for BIG Groups
Spanish GOLD!
A Spanish galleon, loaded with treasure lies on the seabed. Can teams locate the sunken vessel and plan for its successful retrieval - within a tight time-frame?!

Teams, searching for The Black Swan, which sank in March 1694 know that it is packed with valuable jewels and gold. Armed with just a chart and a few clues (and the very latest technology!) they have a 90 minute deadline to gather all the information, locate the exact position of the wreck, overcome all obstacles along the way and plan a fool-proof recovery operation. It’s a relief to get back to the office!
Use "Spanish GOLD" to energise conference delegates AND address a whole range of key lessons:
- thinking carefully before rushing into projects
- ensuring full understanding of the task - by everyone
- setting clear, prioritised objectives
- planning who does what - optimising individual talents
- the value of a coordinator or leader for such projects
- communicating using the most appropriate channel
- the importance of recording and organising data efficiently
- showing attention to detail
- always adopting a high standard of ethics, trust and cooperation
Although teams are told in the Brief that they need to SHARE information with other teams in practice this often falls on deaf ears. Preoccupation with one's own team, rivalry, pride, greed tend to drown any cooperative endeavour - and in many cases plans founder and sink like the vessel itself. The bigger picture of course is that teams need to work together so that the group as a WHOLE recovers and shares the treasure!
Specially designed for large groups Spanish GOLD is great fun for participants, it's challenging and it has a great message for ALL organisations about the importance of KEEPING ONE'S EYE ON THE BIGGER PICTURE. Whatever the outcome it’s a win-win situation for you, the Trainer!
Test teamwork and cooperation in your organisation with this guaranteed, conference WINNER!!
