Learning at Work Week 2023

For this year's theme of 'Create the Future', we have developed a short, team training activity called The Cresta Run. It's an opportunity to practise working as an efficient team, with additional learning objectives around communicating, problem-solving and working under time pressure. It lasts just 30 minutes excluding the debrief and can be used in face-to-face training sessions.

In the activity, each team has to plan and then build a run (down which a ball must run) to maximise the number of points they achieve with their 'final run' (which takes place at the end of 30 minutes).

It's a great opportunity to examine how teams work, team roles, the need to plan, communicating, handling conflict plus ideas around improving procedures by inputting ideas, listening to others and measuring performance - plenty to discuss at the Debrief!
